Yellow

Yellow – One Illustrated Year

The team behind indie comics press OFFLIFE* have produced an illustrated book of the year containing work by 52 artists – each depicting a single news story from the past 12 months.

OFFLIFE: is the UK’s only street press comic. They publish a magazine full of indie comics and illustration to help showcase the art form and the incredible talent working within it.
Over eleven issues they have featured some of the today’s most exciting creators, including Jack Teagle, Kristyna Baczynski, Kyle Platts, Jamie Coe, Ana Galvan, Box Brown and Jean Jullien.

Back to Yellow, though, fifty-two artists were given a week of the year each – from November 2014 to November 2015 – and asked to illustrate one particular news story which broke within that seven day period. Following a Kickstarter campaign and an exhibition, Yellow is now available to buy as a hardback book.

I got Yellow for Christmas from my brother who knows quite a few interesting places to get design books. I was really impressed when I received this book for Christmas as it is something that I wasn't expecting.
